Welcome to Queen & Comb, a local apiary, honey supplier and host-a-hive service in Charleston, SC! We are a group of professional beekeepers who are dedicated to supporting local bee populations while promoting sustainable practices in the community. Our host-a-hive service allows you to host your very own honey bee hive on your property, with the guidance and support of our experienced beekeepers.

In addition to our host-a-hive service we also provide wholesale honey to some of our favorite local businesses (link to a list of them), sell nucleus colonies to new beekeepers, host 1-on-1 apiary training events and provide honeybee education to local schools, retirement homes, and birthday parties.

HOW HOST-A-HIVE WORKS

Hosting a hive is easy with our host-a-hive service.
Here's how it works:

  1. Sign up for our service and choose a hive option that suits your needs.

  2. We'll deliver the hive and everything you need to host the bees.

  3. Our experienced beekeepers will set up the hive and provide all necessary maintenance, supplies, and support to ensure the colony thrives.

  4. We harvest, extract, and bottle your backyard honey in our SCDA certified honey processing facility and deliver it to your door. 

  5. Enjoy watching the bees thrive and producing your own local honey!

Our host-a-hive service is available to both residential and commercial properties throughout the Charleston area.
